Here is my project blog to document some of the work Loring is up to:

With this project, we were looking to re-create the perennial bed around the existing Japanese maple. Loring removed the decorative rock, installed edging to separate the bed spaces, and designed and installed new pollinator focused perennial bed.

Here is a during photo showing the plant layout along with painted circles for dozens of bulbs!

This renovated section will attract pollinators as well as add season long color, layered heights, and varied textures. The mulch bed will also improve growing conditions for the maple tree.

Earlier in the summer of 2024, Loring renovated the front foundation planting of this home. In the fall, Loring continued this project along the side of the foundation. Old edging and over sized ornamental grasses were removed and a new planting design was installed.

The intention of the new planting was attract pollinators and colors that will pop with the yellow backdrop. A mixer of allium, bee balm, and sedum were installed.

This cool dwarf variety of little blue stem will fill this space nicely and add a year round screen of the space under the porch.

This was a very well timed renovation and transplanting project. This is the before photo of an aging perennial garden. The goal was to make this space part of the lawn but to reuse many of the plants elsewhere on the property.

Loring demoed the space, split / transplanted nearly 30 perennials, and installed new sod to the space.

Loring also installed new steppers which tie into an existing stepper path along the side of the home.
